Freshly Squeezed: The Orange Book of Success

The Orange Book of Success, a Freshly Squeezed Career Planning Guide for BC Tourism & Hospitality Students, is intended to help tourism and hospitality students get the most out of their program and begin a rewarding career in the industry.

Its inspiration was a paper about school-to-work transition, written by Greg Vandeborne, a 2007 Bachelor of Tourism Management graduate from Capilano University. The project was built on a study initiated in November 2006 consisting of an online survey with 71 tourism and hospitality graduates and interviews with over 40 employers and program coordinators from across the province of British Columbia.

It was coordinated by LinkBC, funded by the (then) BC Ministry of Advanced Education and supported by go2, an independent, non-profit industry association whose primary goal is to assist tourism operators to recruit, retain, train and develop employees to support industry growth.
